Purpose of the Study

The goal of the CR-109 Corridor Study is to provide strategic guidance for future transportation improvement projects, evaluate land-use considerations, and ensure increased accessibility and connectivity of roadways while at the same time allowing for a variety of transportation options to safely take root in Clifton Park and Halfmoon.

Developing the Study

The Halfmoon/Clifton Park Route 109 Complete Streets Study is supported by the Town of Halfmoon, Town of Clifton Park, Saratoga County, and the Transportation Council as a Linkage Program study through the Transportation Council’s 2024-2025 Unified Planning Work Program.

The Town of Halfmoon proposed this Study to provide strategic guidance for future transportation improvement projects, evaluate land-use considerations, and ensure increased accessibility and connectivity of roadways while at the same time allowing for a variety of transportation options to safely take root in Clifton Park and Halfmoon. The project sponsors would like to assess the best options for bike and pedestrian infrastructure in the Study area along with improved connections for all modes of travel between subdivisions, community parks, businesses, and other land uses.
